If you've been watching the news, you've seen that there is a Carnival Cruise ship that has lost power and it's drifting in the ocean. Passengers don't have electricity or running water. Going to the bathroom is becoming more difficult since the toilets don't flush. What a way to spend a vacation!
This is another reason why you should take your kids camping: they'll get used to situations where they don't always have electricity or running water.
Make camping fun. They will turn into survivors. They won't depend on electricity or running water. They will learn to appreciate what you have at home.
